This is the second operational manual for Leicester City, Leicestershire County and Rutland County Councils. It contains the policies, procedures and guidance for the three Children’s Social Care Services. It is based on the information provided in the previous Rutland Children's Services manual, which we already produced.

Readers of this manual should access the procedures by clicking on the relevant button. Staff from Leicester, for example, should click on the 'Leicester City Contents' button. Buttons will take you to the Contents list for the particular set of procedures for your Children's Social Care service. Chapters can be accessed by clicking on the title. If the title of a chapter is greyed out, this means it is not accessible to staff in that particular council.
